Moksha

I'm in ky now, lying on my bed, with my laptop poised uncomfortably on my awkwardly bent legs. Let's just say that blogging in this position isn't exactly the greatest idea in the world. I've got Caspian playing in my ears, there's a soothing rain outside, and I have the whole chalet to myself. My eyes are heavy, I feel like I'm going to doze off soon, but something prompted me to blog. I just felt like I needed to leave a few words, at least.

Stress

MCB, video making, Stats test, too much coffee, A Levels in general...all in all a VERY busy week. It's taking it's toll on me. I just want one night away from this place, just for a while. I want to see Adrees and have a nice blackcurrant juice with him at Darus and just catch up on everything. That's my escape, really. Not movies or drugs or playing video games...but just hanging out with my best friend.
   I'm beginning to really despise A Levels. Or is it this college? Either way, I feel like I'm constantly being fucked over no matter how hard I try. But I can't admit defeat. Admitting defeat is only truly losing the battle. I have to keep pushing. To what extent, I don't know, but I'm going to find out.

That blackcurrant juice is just waiting for me.

I Will Be Heard

I've always been a fan of Tony Stark. Everyone thinks he's got it all--the money, the ladies, the fame--but these kinds of people are the ones with the most problems. Especially Tony. He's faced so many losses and sacrifices, it's amazing how he can keep his sanity. Here's a recent epic sacrifice he made.



 Yup. That's him getting drunk in order to have an audience with Odin in Asgard to defeat The Serpent. Once again, instead of getting the reception he deserves, he gets labelled as an alcoholic and the public starts having doubts about him wearing the Iron Man suit...despite the fact that the United States uses Stark Industries' weaponry and technology.

Could this be the end of Iron Man as we know it? Hopefully not. Pull through, Tony.

How To Love

During my college's CNY dinner, they played this video. This was the only commercial to ever bring me to tears. I loved everything about it. This is how you make an inspirational video. This is how you touch the hearts of many. Not by spectacular cinematography, but with a concept that is so easy to understand.

Diamonds And Coal

  In about three more days, my house captaincy will come to an end--along with my high committee. We had one long, good year. Every amount of effort put into the house events, organisation and competitions was absolutely worth it. I'll always be thankful for the help I've gotten throughout the year...words are not enough. Was I a good captain? Did I manage everything well? I don't know...but I sure had fun :)

  Our greatest achievements: Dikir Barat and Bangsawan. Although the latter may not be an official win, we won the majority of the awards...the other aspects of Bangsawan. The effort put into it was itself unbelievable but amazing. Needless to say, it's a bittersweet moment for me right now. I may leave the high committee for good, but my heart will always be in Diamond. Once a Diamonder, always a Diamonder.

Now it's time to move on to bigger things. A2, here I come.

Needing/Getting

This is OK Go's official video of "Needing/Getting". OK Go have always been super creative with their music videos, but this one definitely tops it all, in terms of amount of work and time put in. It took them 4 months of training to get this right! The lead singer even went for stunt driving lessons(always a good skill to learn). Watch it and have your mind blown.

I Believe

Hey! So a lot of things have been happening for the past two weeks. I entered a KTJ Nasyeed competition representing KY, and it kicked off on Sunday. We placed bottom 3(out of 8) because the others were from schools like ASIS and Kajang--where they had their own professionally trained Nasyeed team and have been winning competitions long before us. We were just made up of a bunch of random guys who could sing. Lol but I had fun, and it was nice seeing KTJ for the first time.

   Also, today marks the final stretch until A2 is over. I have about a month and a half til my trials, and then another month later til the real thing, I am shit scared as well as shit faced but imma study like shit and work as hard as shit. This is the one. This is the boner-inducing trailer I watched at Alia's house before I got back from KY. I just had to watch it at least 7 times before I was even remotely satisfied. Once When I Was Little

Time for more comic movie adaptation lovin'! So in the last few days, two trailers were released: one in the Superbowl and one on the internet. Spidey here, of course, was the latter...probably because it's not as anticipated and the producers didn't want to spend millions for a Superbowl time slot. Here's the brand new 2nd trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. Oh, about the web shooters:

Although they look like really cool gizmos that seem possible enough for a high-school teenager to build, I'm not really on board with this. BUT it's totally following the comics so I guess it's cool. Sort of.

Gravity

This is John Mayer's live performance of one of my favourite songs of his, Gravity. It's good enough that it's already a beautiful song, he just had to go and make it even more beautiful with some boner-inducing solos and a lil' bit of extra soul singin'. Pure gold.

Over And Over

  I'm blogging from Alia's macbook at the moment....she's lying on the mattress, having the sleep she deserves and needs. It looks like I'm staying here another night. But you know what? It doesn't matter. What's important was I was there for her when she needed it. I'm glad I pulled through and made sure she was alright. 

Chelsea just scored 3 goals against MU...at least there's one thing she can be happy about. I like the music she has. It reminds me of..me.

Check out the latest upcoming teaser covers of the Amazing Spider-Man epic: Ends Of The Earth. It seems like he's saving the world again--in a brand new costume. Here we see Peter Parker(or could it be someone else?) donning an armored, Jason Todd-ish costume:

It's definitely got a Jason Todd feel to it. Also, it's not surprising that Peter can build high-tech costumes like these since he's working in Horizon Labs. Spidey's made numerous costumes in his life--including one with just a paper bag on his head--but this is definitely one worth remembering. I mean, look at it! Finally, armor that was finally created by Peter himself instead of Tony Stark or Reed Richards. 

Plus, he's taking on the Sinister Six...all at once. Apparently they're doing their most evil scheme yet. I'm excited how this will turn out.

Blood Bank

  I figured out(the hard way) that the only time I can actually blog without interruptions and connection problems from my chalet is in the dead of night before a school day. Today, this moment, I am blessed--mainly because for the first time, tomorrow's blocks are all free for me. 1, 4, & 6 are given..

tadaa! So I spent the night playing guitar with Brandon and OG. I borrowed Bro's guitar, which is a really nice and comfortable guitar btw, and played all night. I kinda regret not bringing back my guitar. Why did I do it? I claimed it was a DISTRACTION. Pfft, please. That's being too kiasu already. 

   I think I played the guitar alone for less than an hour outside my porch. During that time, a funny in-your-face conversation came up. A new .5 junior passing by saw me and said "It's 1:28am". I was like, okay yeah thanks for the time lol. Then he added, with a very condescending tone and some aggression, "Go sleep la!". And I was like, "I have no classes tomorrow, motherfuckerr."

Going back with alia tomorrow and buy stuff and come back on Sunday because I'm kiasu like that. Looking forward to this weekend despite Eijas's absence. This time for the Dave Chapelle episode will be just me, OG and Brandon. Shit's going down.
